So I've been a busy little DJ as of late, as I mentioned in the logs I am now the resident DJ at the Canoe Club, one of the nicest resturant/lounges in Hanover. We push the tables aside and pack in a crazy scene in there every first Saturday of the month, and tomorrow night (the 6th) is going to be my 2nd installment! If you're in the area definitely stop by!
And my weekly show The uvMix is taking off, if you haven't listened in before or its been a while definitely sign up and download the latest shows!
The show has mixes by myself and various other artists. My co-producter DJ Droid has the hip-hop tip nailed down so if house music isn't your bag there is definitely value there for you regardless!

| Well, last night was the first time I've been in the UV in some time to hang out since my wife and I had our baby (picts to come). I have to say, well done Adam. In addition, it was great seeing you guys. Jon, Gbarr, Dollar, and the plethora of other people whom I've all but forgotten. I have been out of touch too long. Adam, I will see about a Keene gig and let you know. This way you can slowly begin to assimilate the eastern seaboard :) |

Speaking of plans, I really hope I can come up to NH and hang out some time this summer. I know it sounds cheesy, but I'm really homesick. Haven't seen the UV since Thanksgiving and the epic debate my lil bro had with your party guest dressed up as the Cookie Monster. |

| So I'll be on the air doing a 4 hour mix from 10pm to 2am this Friday and Saturday. I'm in the process of producing the material now, but this'll be a weekly thing if it gets off the ground.

David Paul has been producing quality underground hiphop releases since the 1980's. He is featured in the movie Scratch discussing the role and importance of the DJ in hip-hop. The article shows how corporate America is destroying the music industry while reaping as much money as they can.

| I too love being educated on the finer points of the record industry, but have something further to add here. The big ‘R’ – aka returns to record labels – are bought out by the distributors (BMG, Sony/EMI, Columbia) for pennies on the dollar and redistributed through – yup, you guessed it – mail order CD sales. Since we all abused the 11 CDs for a penny deal, we can appreciate what those poor artists must feel like.
And once DSN Records is on the map, and I sign Dr. Dre to cut my first single, we can all roll in the dough like Scrooge swimming in his money bin. Until that time – keep on keepin on my homies.

CNN.com is running this story about a little 12 year old girl who has been sued by the RIAA for sharing about 1000 songs online. She settled for $2000. But honestly, what the fuck, if they can offer tons of other people "amnesty", why not her?
By the way, the RIAA said they are pleased with the settlement. Apparently making examples out of pre-teen girls is the way to stop people from trading copyrighted music. |

dsn://music Injected with DJ Fuse's People [ CD1 CD2 ]. He's off the Perfecto label, and is dealing some excellent Dancey Trance that will keep you moving. Also imported Music Through Me, the latest from Micro.
And I got a new DJ Synergy album, probably a DSN exclusive, I'm trying to convince him to let me release it (there were some minor flaws in the CD itself). I'll make a seperate post for that once its ready!

 Before I get into the details let me preface this post with the following recommendation: If you ever get to Australia make sure you checkout Sounds on Sunday at the Greenwood Hotel in North Sydney. The Greenwood is an old church that has been converted into a massive bar and dance venue, with Sounds being their premier weekly event. That being said, on with the news.

| I think I'll take a photo of me, 2Pac style, with my two 'birds of prey' extended for the people at Eastman Kodak to vibe on. The photos from Oakie will never be cause the disposable cam I used placed all the picts about 1/2 way between each frame and, worse still, under exposed everything. Shitty, I know. The worst part is I had to pay for them before I could figure this out. Better luck next time I suppose. |
